Growing up I ate everything they put in front of me. Fried chicken, pork chops, grits, eggs, waffles, french fries, biscuits, smothered this and that, liver and onions, cakes, pies, red beans and rice. I grew up in a Southern household where we had fish frys every Friday, the majority of our proteins were fried, all vegetables had meat in them and we cooked with bacon grease. MmmmHummmm those were the good ole days. My bad eating habits followed me into college then my early Twenties. I loved food, there wasn’t much I wouldn’t eat and you could see that by my size 24 pants. When I finally got fed up and decided it was time to make a change I realized I had to change the way I looked at food, utilizing it for fuel rather than pleasure.
